Diversity in the global food system: Why and how?

Diversity is essential for a healthy and sustainable global food system. Yet, what does this mean exactly? Check out this Hivos-supported video from the One Planet Network to learn more about the ways that diversity can help bring our food systems into balance.

Following the 2018 UN High Level Political Forum, the One Planet Network adopted ‘food systems’ as a cross-cutting theme for the year. A tool for all of the One Planet Network’s programs, this video communicates a key message that is in line with the SFS Program’s vision. It’s the second video in a series aimed to help people change their relationship with food. Watch the first video in the series: ‘10 tips to support Sustainable Food Systems’.

This video is brought to you by the One Planet Network, together with the European Commission and Government of Sweden in collaboration with the One Planet Network’s Sustainable Food System Program (co-led by The Swiss Confederation, Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG), Hivos, the Republic of South Africa, and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)).

RUAF is also a member of the Sustainable Food Systems Programme.
