The Milan Urban Food Policy Pact is going to be one of the most important legacies of Expo 2015. It acknowledges that cities, which host over half the world’s population, have a strategic role to play in developing sustainable food systems and promoting healthy diets and improved urban environments. To this date, about 50 cities have contributed to the development of the Pact and the accompanying Framework for Action and are invited to sign both documents in Milan on 15 October 2015.
